Pilot Project with UNICEF for Employment Opportunities to the Students of DSEU

DSEU and UNICEF have jointly introduced ‘Career Awareness Sessions’ for students of Delhi studying at the university. Chief Minister of the Delhi Government announced that a new pilot project with UNICEF enables access to employment opportunities for students of the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). The government said in a statement that the “Skill Varsity of Delhi joins hands with YuWaah (Generation Unlimited India) at UNICEF to enable access to employment opportunities, assist students in becoming job ready as well as listen to and amplify the voices of young people. United Nations International Children`s Emergency Fund, now officially United Nations Children`s Fund, is an agency of the United Nations responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. The agency is among the most widespread and recognizable social welfare organizations in the world. Another pillar of the partnership is the ‘YuWaah Step Up - Bano job ready’, a six-month pilot being conducted by Flywheel Digital Solutions Pvt with DSEU students and other job-seekers in Delhi to enhance the reach of young job-seekers on the new age job portals. 

The businesses, government, innovators, UN agencies, civil society organizations and young people teamed up on 1st November 2019 and launched YuWaah, a program of Generation Unlimited India. New Delhi. This is to strengthen education, skills, empowerment and economic opportunities for young people, aligned with the Government of India`s efforts, so that young people across will get benefitted. In 2018, UNICEF initiated the global Generation Unlimited partnership to meet the urgent needs of expanding education, skill development and employment opportunities for young people across the world. Young people are passionate, confident, and committed to building a better future. 65% of the total population is below the age of 35 years and they are regarded as Young India. A country which is able to resolve the problems of the younger generation such country will become an emerging country in terms of economy. YuWaah is working with the next generation of leaders to realise a better tomorrow

 The pandemic has eaten away jobs in the private sector and pushed the Youngsters to face the ill effects of unemployment.  The present happy index in the country is alarming compared to small countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal and so on. There are various factors which determine the happy index both at the micro level and macro level including the world happy index.

True, the present population in the country in 2022 March is around 143 crores, which will touch 145 crores by the end of 2022-2023.  India thereby will become a superpower in terms of population. America is the superpower in respect of consistent growth of GDP, but India will emerge as super power by means of population. It is a big challenge for India to utilize its human resources properly, failing which the country will be revolving around socio-economic problems.
